Pebble Beach, Galiano Island and Montague Harbour

This is another great swimming beach on the west side of Galiano, accessable by hike or by boat.  Pick a calm day if you’re visiting by boat and going to shore with the tender – this beach is relatively unprotected from E, NE, SE winds and can get a little rough as a result.  Warm water as the tide comes up over the rocks and sand.  Montague Harbour -this used to be one of our preferred anchorages but over last few years it has become very crowded in the summer.  We now do daytrips here instead to spend time on the beaches but like to overnight nearby at Prevost or Mayne in less crowded anchorages.
