East Sound, Orcas Island

East Sound Orcas Island. We moored on the beach at the north side of Orcas, took the tender to shore, walked the mile or so to East Sound as many pioneers did to get their provisions. This town has lots of character – shops, supermarkets, cafes… Our day here in the warm summer sun was very enjoyable. Not too many people anchor off the north side of Orcas to make this trek but if the weather and winds are favourable, this is a perfect daytrip. We plan to do a visit to East Sound at least once or twice a year. This place has the best bakery ever, make sure to eat as much as you can at Wild Flour Bakery!
