Van Anda Texada Island

This was only a semi protected anchorage up until 1997 which is when the breakwater was completed. The Texada Island boat club operates out of here and we have passed this bay many times without stopping in. Today we decided to break up the trip between Savary and Pender Harbour. It’s a great stop and the islanders are extremely friendly. Our neigbbouring sailboat baked a delicious blackberry pie that they shared. Great stop to break up the long Malaspina leg between Pender and Desolation!
